Yolande Robinson, B.Ed, M.Ed.

Yolande Robinson was born, raised and educated in Canada by parents of Caribbean descent. Yolande completed both her Bachelors of Education in Elementary Education and her Masters of Education in Educational Psychology at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. For her Masters research she looked at Pre-Service and New Teachers and their confidence in teaching reading. 

Yolande has worked with chidren, adolescents and their parents in professional settings since 2000. Her experiences go beyond traditional tutoring and teaching  and include being a children's librarian, a youth animator, and workshop leader  for youth animators, parents, pre-service and in-service teachers. Yolande is committed to helping all  children that she works with develop to their full academic, social, behavioral  and emotional potential.

In addition to Yolande's background in traditional education systems, Yolande also works in the area of leadership education and development with young adults and business professionals. Her team building and leadership workshops are sure to motivate your group members/employees and equip them with the tools needed to work effectively in their teams.


Abigail Ambritton, Dip.Ed., B.Ed

Abigail Ambritton was born in the beautiful by nature Turks and Caicos Islands to proud parents. She came as a surprise gift to her parents and family alike. Abigail developed a passion for teaching and as she grew and matured she realized the needs of kids and was therefore determined to become a teacher.

In order to enhance her abilities as a teacher, at the tender age of sixteen, after completing five years of Secondary learning, she moved to Jamaica to study.

Abigail has successfully completed a three year Programme in Teacher Education in Secondary Education at The Mico Teachers' College where she majored in General Science and Remedial Reading. After obtaining a Certificate in Teaching, Abigail decided to continue her studies at The University of the West Indies where she now holds a Degree of Bachelor Education in Language Education: Literacy Studies.

Abigail now teaches where it all began for her at The Ona Glinton Primary School.  She joined Learn and Lead so that students can  continue to learn and her passion is continually fed.


Patricia Bolton Level, Dip.Ed, B.Ed.

A trained Special Education teacher in the area of learning disabilities with up to 12 years experience in assessing, diagnosing and mediating reading difficulties. Previously at Mar-Jam Prep School in Jamaica as Head of Special Education Dept. Worked with students with autism, mild mental retardation, hearing impaired, developmentally delayed and learning disabled.

Recruited by the Turks and Caicos Education Dept as Special Education Teacher about 3 years ago. Was asked to begin a program for students at the high school with several reading and language difficulties. Though there have been significant challenges, there have also been a few success stories as students from the program who have been placed in the main stream continue to do well.

Possesses a passion for teaching and working with children and yearns to make a difference in the lives of those I teach. Firmly and fully embraces the philosophy, “Every child can learn and every child must.”
